She participated Productive Safety Net Program (PSNP) by WFP for 3 years, and won an award in 2009 for her strong participation in PSNP. Divorced mother of one daughter, said that her land was degraded because she did not know how to care for it. But with the help of PSNP, she started using compost and planting of short variety crop to increase soil fertility. After her production increased, she managed to sell the seeds from her excess crops to a cooperative. With her new income, she bought live stock and two sewing machines which her daughter uses to run a sawing shop.
